Battery & Power
The PeakShot Trail Camera delivers around 500 shots per charge — more than enough for a full day out on the trail. Battery life can vary slightly depending on temperature and flash usage, but in typical conditions you won't need to worry about running out mid-hike.
Charging is done via either of the included cables — USB-A to USB-C or USB-C to USB-C. Plug into any standard wall adapter, laptop port, or power bank — a full charge takes around 90 minutes. A small LED indicator on the side turns green when fully charged.
Yes, battery performance can reduce slightly in very cold temperatures. In conditions below -5°C (23°F), we recommend keeping the camera close to your body between shots to maintain warmth. The camera operates reliably down to around -10°C (14°F).
Flash usage does consume more power, so in low-light conditions where the flash fires frequently, you may get slightly fewer than 500 shots. In bright daylight with no flash, you can often exceed that estimate.
